Pools 4 Swim Schools is an initiative whose mission is to get more children in to swimming lessons. Through a model of public/private sector partnership, our aim is to bring together private swim schools with publicly owned swimming pools to widen the availability of learn to swim provision, increase access to swimming for disadvantaged groups in society and protect school swimming provision for communities across the UK.

 

The mandate of the program is to identify public sector pools that are underutilized, in need of investment or under threat of closure and facilitate a partnership between the current pool operator and a well-managed local private swim school to whom operations can be passed over.

 

With reports suggesting there are more than 1000 swimming pools across the UK in some form of distress, the scope to improve facilities, grow access to lessons and support the growth of the learn to swim sector is enormous.
